Edward Said - Mayor

Edward Said, 27, works as an analyst with the Malta Financial Services Authority (MFSA) and as a lecturer at the Malta International Training Centre (MITC).

He studied in Gozo up to post-secondary level after which he went on to obtain a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from the University of Malta (B.Com Honours -
First Class). He started his career with Banif Bank (Malta) plc and then taught for three years at the Malta College for Arts, Science and Technology (MCAST). Throughout this time, he also continued studying and obtained a postgraduate certificate in Vocational Education and Training (VET) as well as successfully completing a Masters degree in Finance from the University of London.

Edward has held several posts including, President of the National Youth Council, Secretary and President of the Nadur Sectional Committee of the Nationalist Party, Secretary of the Nadur Youngsters F.C. as well as being a member of different organisations including the youth section of the Nationalist Party (MZPN). He takes an active part in the social life and activities held in Nadur and also volunteers as a certified coach within the Nadur Youngsters nursery, bringing together his love for football and voluntary work.


Eucharist Camilleri - Vice Mayor

Twieled in-Nadur. Studja fl-Iskola Primarja Nadur u Skola Sekondarja Xewkija/ir-Rabat Għawdex. Ta' 16-il sena emigra lejn l-Istati Uniti. Kompla l-istudji f' Charles Evans High School ġewwa New York.

Hadem fi New York bħala messaġġierr u shipping clerk ma' financial printer. Preżentatment qed jaħdem bħala enforcement officer ma' Transport Malta.

Fl-1996 kkontesta l-elezzjoni tal-Kunsill Lokali u ġie elett. Kien maħtur Sindku għal dik il-leġislatura. Serva ukoll fil-Kunsill bejn 1999-2002.

Preżentament huwa l-President tan-Nadur Youngsters F.C. u President tal-Kunsill Skolastiku ta' l-iskola Primarja Nadur. Okkupa diversi karigi f'kumitati fi ħdan il-Ministeru għal Għawdex. Prezentament huwa l-Viċi Sindku ta' Nadur.

Rita Mifsud - Councillor 

Rita Mifsud was born in Sydney Australia in 1981 and is an only child.

 She attended Mons.Salvu Vella Nadur Primary School and G.P. Aguis de Soldanis Junior Lyceum in Victoria. She continued her post-secondary education at Sir. M.A.Refalo Post Secondary School and was admitted to the University of Malta in 1999 were she read a degree in Law.

Rita graduated as a Doctor of Laws in 2005. She works in the litigation department of a private law firm based in Valletta and her areas of practice are Civil and Family Law, with particular focus on children's rights and disability issues.

 Between 2006 and 2008 Dr. Rita Mifsud formed part of the Board of Management of the Mediterranean Conference Centre in Valletta, and between 2008 and 2013 Dr. Rita Mifsud held the position of Director on the Board of Directors of Gozo Channel Company Limited. 

Dr. Mifsud was also an executive member of the MNPN between 2008 and 2010.

 She was elected as a Councillor of the Nadur Local Council in March 2008 after successfully contesting for the first time, and was subsequently co-opted on the Council in April 2013. 

She is married to James Zammit.


Josianne Cutajar  - Councillor

Josianne Cutajar was born in 1989. She attended Mons. Salvu Vella Nadur Primary School and Can. G.P. Aguis de Soldanis Girls’ Junior Lyceum. After having completed her post-secondary education at Sir. Michelangelo Refalo Centre for Further Studies, she was admitted to the law course at the University of Malta. She graduated from the Bachelor of Laws in 2010, from the Diploma of Notary Public in 2011 and from the Degree of Doctor of Laws in 2012. Josianne then pursued her studies and graduated as a Master of Laws in European and Comparative Law in 2017. 

Josianne is a lawyer by profession and works as a Legal Coordinator at the Office of the Prime Minister. She has served as Director of Gozo Channel Company Limited between 2013 and 2017 and is currently Vice-Chairman of Gozo Channel (Operations) Limited. 

She started her participation in the Local Council as Vice-Mayor of the Nadur Local Council for Youths between 2006 and 2007 and her activism was awarded through the Local Council Prize for Diligence at her Sixth Form Graduation. During 2008-2009 she was the President of the Nadur Youth Council.

She was elected as Councillor of the Nadur Local Council in March 2012, at the age of 22, after having successfully contested for the first time, and has been successfully re-elected as Councillor in April 2015. 

Josianne is also active within the Labour Party, previously occupying the post of Political Officer within the Nadur Labour Party Committee and currently occupying the post of Chairperson for Gozo within Nisa Laburisti. 






Michael Camilleri - Councillor 

Michael Camilleri was born on the 12th of January 1996. He attended Mons. Salvu Vella Primary School in Nadur and then advanced to the Sacred Heart Minor Seminary in Rabat. After succeeding in his O-Levels, he continued his studies at the Sir M. A. Refalo post-secondary school. Michael is willing to continue his studies on music at the University of Malta.

Michael is also a percussionist, mainly focused on drums. He obtained the ATCL, LTCL, and FTCL Diploma from the Trinity College of London, making him the very first Maltese to obtain the three Diplomas on Drumkit.

He has been a member of the Mnarja Band for 13 years, the last year as a member in the committee. Michael is also a member of Għaqda Armar Triq il-Knisja and Vice-President and one of the minds behind Żgħażagħ Imnarja. His voluntary work in the community shows his real love and passion towards his village, Nadur.

Michael was elected as Councillor of the Nadur Local Council in April 2015, after having successfully contested for the first time, the youngest elected in Gozo.
